Welcome to PAIIRenting Post!

PAIIR has been providing services to parents with young children for more than 30 years. As we begin our fall classes, we bring PAIIR online, and not only to our Rochester residents, but to the rest of parents in the cyber-world.

We’ve talked about blogging for awhile, but thanks to a persistent PAIIR participant with some blogging expertise (thanks Heather!) we are ready to launch PAIIRenting Post. We’re blogging because, let’s face it, parenting happens 24-7 and you don’t always have a parent educator at your beck and call. PAIIR would like to provide another way for parents to share your parenting challenges and joys. We’ll talk about all the things that are on parents’ minds, just like we do in our parenting classes. We want this to not only be our blog; we want it to be yours as well. Do you have a parenting challenge, question or comment you’d like us to address? Leave it in our comments. We’ll post the link to this page all the time, and you can be sure we’ll be reading your comments.

We will start with our licensed staff as our bloggers, but will also invite parents of young children, like you to share your creative parenting ideas and strategies. We hope that PAIIRenting Post will become a place where you can come, day or night, for helpful parenting information.

We’re pleased and excited to launch our blog and look forward to hearing from you!

We’ll talk soon…

I think this is a great idea!

Just yesterday I talked with a grandmother who is caring for her 3 year old grandchild and told me how isoltated she feels.
this blog might be a reource for someone like her.

This morning a young staffer came in tired because she could not get her preschoolders to bed last night. Again, your site might be a resource this busy working mom can use.

How will you be letting people know about your blog? If there ways that First Steps can be helpful in getting the wrod out, please let us know.

Wishing you success...

Great job!
This will be a great spot for the guys to post questions and comments that they may not bring up in classes, or are not willing to share face to face.

I really like this idea. How often do you plan on posting? Sometimes blogs start slow on the comments and get more steam as time goes by. Don't give up!

We would ideally like to post a couple times a week, but we are starting slow. Just want to get the word out so parents can respond. Thanks for the words of encouragement!

I apologize if this is the incorrect venue to use. Melissa Scaccio who has been a PAIR parent for several years, chaired the advisory board, and involved in many fund raisers fir PAIIR lost her husband to a motorcycle accident yesterday am. She has three step and three biological children with Jack. She wants her PAIIR family to know this.
